Insta360 X4 Air: Compact 8K 360° Action Camera

The Insta360 X4 Air is the company’s newest 360-degree action camera, designed to deliver 8K video recording at 30fps in a more affordable and lightweight package compared to the flagship X5.

At its core, the X4 Air is equipped with dual 1/1.8-inch sensors, a significant improvement over the 1/2-inch sensors found in its predecessor. It supports video recording at 8K (7680×3840) in 30/25/24fps, 6K (6016×3008) at up to 50fps, and 4K (3840×1920) across the same frame rates. Still photos are captured at 29MP (7680×3840) resolution, ensuring sharp and detailed imagery.

The camera features replaceable lenses, a built-in wind guard, and a magnetic mounting system for quick accessory attachment. Weighing just 165 grams, it is 15 grams lighter than the Insta360 X4 and 35 grams lighter than the X5, enhancing portability for travel and outdoor use.

The X4 Air is waterproof up to 15 meters without additional housing, and with an optional dive case, it can reach depths of up to 60 meters. Powering the camera is a 2,010 mAh battery, capable of recording up to 88 minutes of 8K30 video on a single charge.

Available in Graphite Black and Arctic White, the X4 Air starts at $400. The “No Drone No Problem” bundle, which includes a lens cap and an extended selfie stick, is priced at $506. The camera is now available through Insta360’s official store, Amazon, and authorized retailers worldwide.
